Wow, what a weekend! I am so happy to announce that Crozet Eye Care team members were the recipients of multiple awards and officer positions at the Virginia Optometric Association’s Annual Conference in Wintergreen. Here is the list. The abbreviations are Virginia Optometric Association (VOA) and Virginia Paraoptometric Association (VPA).

Three members of our Crozet Eye Care team - Anne, Michelle, and Ellie - have recently passed their Certified Paraoptometric exams.

Paraoptometrics are eye care professionals who assist optometrists in providing a higher level of vision care to patients. Paraoptometrics extend the optometrist's capabilities by performing some of the routine and technical aspects of vision care services, much in the same way that paralegals do for lawyers.

The Certified Paraoptometric exams are rigorous tests of the professionals’ knowledge, and we here at Crozet Eye Care are proud of our colleagues’ efforts.
