Wow this is changing fast. Currently we are still open. However, we are decreasing our hours. The new hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am -5 pm. Closed Thursdays. I strongly recommend if you have any contacts or glasses to pick up, do it soon as we are not sure when we will go to emergency appointments only.
I will reiterate the precautions from the first blog and outline some new ones here.
If you are ill and have flu-like symptoms, please reschedule your appointment. See information about delivery of contact lenses and glasses below.
If you have been exposed to someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19 or if you have recently traveled to a country where a large outbreak is prevalent or if you have been in close contact with someone who has, please wait at least 14 days before coming to the office.
Other safety precautions:
Entire office:
- Please do not bring additional family/friends to the office unless they are your transportation.
- Arrive on time, not early, to your appointment to minimize the time in the office.
- We are cleaning high contact areas more frequently.
Exams:
- We have changed the exam flow to have minimal exposure to others and instruments.
- We continue to use precautions as directed by the CDC to minimize infection.
Optical:
- During the selection of frames, we are limiting patient browsing so the optician has the opportunity to use our UV light sanitizer to sterilize glasses touched by individuals before the next patient tries them on. No one is allowed in the optical without staff accompanying them.
If you have contact lenses or glasses CURRENTLY in the office, you can call us, and we will ship them to you at no charge. You must call. We will not do this automatically.
For all NEW contact lens and glasses orders, we will automatically ship them to you when they are available. PLEASE VERIFY YOUR ADDRESS BEFORE ORDERING. We understand that for glasses they may not fit correctly if they are shipped as we normally do a custom fit for each patient. However, if you call the office after receiving your glasses, we may be able to work out a time to fit the glasses.
Another recommendation we are making is to make sure NOW that you have access to the patient portal (www.revolutionphr.com) to communicate with us if we are not open. Please call the office if you cannot access the portal.
