Two members of our Crozet Eye Care team – Emily Damron and Lauren Wood – have recently passed their Certified Paraoptometric exams. Paraoptometrics are eye care professionals who assist optometrists in providing a higher level of eye care to patients. Paraoptometrics extend the optometrist’s capabilities by performing some of the routine and technical aspects of eye care services, much in the same way that paralegals do for lawyers. The Certified Paraoptometric exams are rigorous tests of the professional’s knowledge, and we here at Crozet Eye Care are proud of our colleagues’ efforts. Congratulations to Emily and Lauren!
