We are expanding services starting May 6, 2020

We are so excited to start providing comprehensive eye care again starting May 6, 2020. Our team has been preparing the office for your arrival. The following is a lot of information, but please read it thoroughly so there are no surprises when you come in.

Here is what to expect when you come for your visit. Of course all of the adjustments to our policies have been made to keep you and our team as safe as possible.

Entering the office:

  • All visits (including optical and exams) will be by appointment only, so our door will be locked.
  • When you arrive at the front door, a team member will come out to greet you. We require face coverings, health screening questions, and a body temperature check before entering. Anyone not passing the screening questions or temperature check will not be allowed in the office. If you do not have a face covering, we will give you one.
  • Only the patient is allowed in the office with the exception of a required caregiver or one parent for a child.
  • We will let you in at your appointment time. If you are late, you will need to call us from your car and let us know you are here. Depending on the timing of other patients, you may need to reschedule if you are late.

 Increased safety precautions:

  • To minimize paper exchange, we will be sending receipts, prescriptions, rebates, and other health information through the patient portal (Revolutionphr.com). Be sure you are signed up. Please call the office if you cannot access the portal.
  • We have installed an air purifier, plexiglass shields where appropriate, and are cleaning all contact areas before every patient.

Exams:

  • Bring the following items to your exam.
    • Face covering
    • Medical and vision insurance cards
    • Completed paperwork from our website CrozetEyeCare.com. (In the near future, we will be implementing online patient forms to be filled in and submitted before arriving.)
  • We will continue offering telemedicine when appropriate.
  • We have changed the exam flow to have minimal exposure to others and instruments.
  • We continue to use precautions as directed by the CDC to minimize infection.

Optical:

  • Frame selection, dispensing, and adjusting are by appointment only. Please call to schedule.
  • During the selection of frames, we are limiting patient browsing so the optician has the opportunity to use our UV light sanitizer to sterilize glasses touched by individuals before the next patient tries them on.
  • No one is allowed in the optical shop without a team member.

Curbside pickup:

  • Available for contact lenses, glasses, MacuHealth vitamins, Alaway allergy drops, and Cliradex lids wipes.
  • Parallel park next to the building on Radford Lane. There will be a sign. Call the office and a team member will bring your items to your car.
  • Glasses adjustments will not be performed through curbside pickup. You must schedule an appointment instead.

As always, thank you for your support of Crozet Eye Care. We all want you to stay happy and healthy at this time and make smart decisions for you and your family. If you are in need of anything, please call the office.

Sincerely,

Your Crozet Eye Care Team
